Haruno Sakura

Her? Haruno Sakura is a mild-tempered girl who has an inner self and has ways to express her feelings. She used to suffer from insults and teasing from classmates because of her unusually wide/big forehead. And because of it, she tried to hide it, cried a lot, and had no friends. Until Ino came along and they became best friends. Now, Sakura is not afraid to show her forehead because of Ino, and has gained a lot of confidence. She then finds herself attracted to the most liked guy in school, Uchiha Sasuke! She first told everyone about her liking him when she was still very young, she looked seven to me. But then she and Ino broke their friendship because it happens that Ino likes Sasuke too. And so they become rivals. Sakura then makes the effort of making Sasuke notice her throughout the years that have passed. Her main goal in life is to win Sasuke's heart. Her happiness boosts up as she finds out she is on Sasuke's team. Throughout the series, Sakura is known as the most smartest in the group, and the one best at figuring out illusions, even said by Sasuke himself. She has an innerself which appears in her head and is like the "true" or "bad" part of her. She is very compeitive when it comes to proving someone wrong [Ino], very sweet when it comes to impressing someone [Sasuke], and very mean when she is being annoyed by someone she doesn't like [Naruto].

Them? Sakura met Sasuke at a young age, and liked him when she was...7? I don't know. But she was still young when she told Ino and her friends about the boy she likes. In the manga, her main goal is to win Sasuke's heart. She loves Sasuke, and the series starts off by showing Sakura's liking of him to be like a school crush. She is a total fangirl of him [like me?], and very fanatical about it. She tries to think of new plans to get him, and push Ino away. At first, you'd think that it was just a crush and it'll go away soon. But once they joined teams, and even though Sasuke was cold to her, she still stuck by him, which surprises most people. Throughout the series, her crush turns into love and it is noticable. She cares so much for Sasuke and would do anything for him, she says so herself. Even when Sasuke was going bad, Sakura, no matter how scared she was of him, still stayed by his side. And that only, saved him at that moment. When she faces off with an unbeatable enemy, and even if she knows there is nothing she can do to protect Sasuke, she still risks her life and jumps in front to get herself injured instead. During hospitals, she visits him everyday and never leaves his side. Her dedication to him and her love for him is so strong that that is what makes this couple lovable. I believe this couple will happen because I believe she can give Sasuke the love he hasn't had for such a long time.

Us? Hum, Sakura is a very interesting character. What I love about her is her attitude, and her toughness, especially her inner self. She may not fight that much, but she will :D. But the most thing that makes her a great character is her dedication to the people she loves and her determination to protect them at any cost. Her love for Sasuke is unbelievable, but unbreakable. The way she is always there for him is what brings out my liking of her. Naruto, who is like a brother in her eyes, is treated the same way because she loves both [one real love and one sibling love...or at least I hope]. I think Sakura has a great a spirit and she will get somewhere far.

(Chii) I think that Sakura is an amazing female character, it's difficult to find leading female characters in a series that actually have realistic flaws, no one person is perfect. It's easy for someone (especially girls) to find a connection with Sakura because of the crushes and maybe even the inner self that she has. To me, I believe that she had the most character development throughout the series. How much she grew and the changes she's gone through within the series are noticable. At first, I thought that Sakura was just like any other girl, obsessing over the most attractive male in the stereotypical class. To be blunt, I thought she was annoying. But after a few episodes/chapters, I found myself liking her more and more as the series progressed. Her childhood crush grew into something more, it wasn't blind love or one that was just skimming the surface of a person. She really did love Sasuke for who he was, no matter what choices he made. Her faith and devotion to him completely gets me because I act the same way. ^^;

"What can I do for Sasuke now?...I'd have to risk my life too!"

I can tell you this...Sakura can kick ass now. Hahah! Sakura was always disliked but she didn't and couldn't fight that much in the anime and manga. But after Sasuke's departure, she was determined to get him back and protect both of them [Naruto and Sasuke]. She then goes and trains with Tsunade for 2 1/2 years.
2 1/2 years later, she is almost exactly like Tsunade. She has the same strength, and the same healing/medical techniques. She is much stronger and a lot more useful, she takes on her own battles. Where is she currently? She is currently with Naruto, Kakashi, and an old woman. They are now trying to rescue Gaara, who was captured by Akatsuki, and Sasuke as well. She knows that they only have 6 months left to rescue Sasuke, and she is not wasting any minute of it. Recently, she just heard that one of the Akatsuki's members knows Orchimaru, and Sakura is now determined to beat him so that he can tell her all the information about Orchimaru, so she can get to Sasuke.
